NH Geek Squad

Come join the NH Squad for an informal and brief introduction to Web 2.0 apps and iPad apps.
Librarians from all around NH will share their ideas relating to effective practice in use of 2.0 tools to deliver the mission envisioned in the new AASL standards document.

This year's entries can be accessed on 2013 Web sites and 2013 Apps page. Feel free to add to the page!

The tools have multiplied dramatically in the past year and this sharing session will help us all better understand thoughtful and engaging strategies for integration. We will update the wiki during and after the session to share with the larger community.

Nancy Keane and panelists Alison Casko, Pam Harland, Charlotte Lesser, Kathy Pearce, Ginna Schonwald, and Donna Zecha will share their picks for most effective tools for enhancing learning and promoting reading in a variety of categories relating to AASL Standards: Reading Promotion , Digital Storytelling , Information Fluency , and Digital Citizenship.

We welcome audience participation- so bring your own laptop (to try out our fun tools) and bring your own ideas, too! You don't have to be on the panel to join in.

The AASL SmackDown site is filled with even more examples.

Cool things you can do with Google!

Take a look at the wiki that I created for a multipart professional development workshop I did for my school district January 2010. We covered blogs, wikis, podcasts, and lots of other Web 2.0 applications for education - mrsdweb2class.wikispaces.com
enjoy!
